The Easton Tigers 15U: Desnoyer seize victory thanks to late double, drop Rawlings Recruits 16u 7-6

After four lead changes in Saturday's game at Francis Howell North HS, the Easton Tigers 15U: Desnoyer finally pulled out a 7-6 win over Rawlings Recruits 16u.

The Easton Tigers 15U: Desnoyer finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning. The Easton Tigers 15U: Desnoyer went up for good on a two-run double by Michael Ruggeri off Todd Marshall, plating Tommy Detmer and Sam Stephens.

The Easton Tigers 15U: Desnoyer would not relinquish the lead as Rawlings Recruits 16u was unable to weather a three-run fourth inning deficit.

Rawlings Recruits 16u scored two runs in the fifth on an RBI double by Tyler Morris and a sacrifice fly by Mark Melville. Despite its efforts, Rawlings Recruits 16u couldn't get over the hump.

Roland Ounanian got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the first and fourth innings.

Danny Dobbs got the win for the Easton Tigers 15U: Desnoyer. He allowed two runs over two innings. Danny struck out none, walked three and gave up three hits.

Todd ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked seven and struck out five.

The Easton Tigers 15U: Desnoyer jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. A single by Roland, bringing home Tommy and Danny started the inning off.
