Kevin's baseball background is extensive, to say the least. He was drafted by the California Angels in1994, but rather than sign he chose to attend Stetson University, where he played college baseball. Kevin’s college accomplishments include being named Conference Player of the Year in 1997. He re-entered the draft in 1997 where he was selected in the first round, 27th overall, by the San Diego Padres.
Kevin spent three seasons in the minors, before making it to the majors where he played 37 games for the Padres in 2000. He later spent time in the Colorado Rockies, St. Louis Cardinals, and Pittsburgh Pirates organizations.
He was also a member of the Canadian National Baseball Team for several years. In 2001, he was part of their Baseball World Cup team and was part of Team Canada's fourth-place team in the 2004 Summer Olympics. In addition, he played for Canada at the inaugural World Baseball Classic in 2006.
We look forward to big things with our College Prep program here in the near future.
