2018 BC Baseball 15U AAA Team BC are enroute home after a stellar showing in Flemington, NJ at the Diamond Nation Summer Finale.

The boys entered the 16 team tournament as the unknown group of western Canadians and were not expected to be a threat. Unless, you knew them… in which case, you knew that they had a dominant regular season and battled home a gold medal as the 2018 Provincial Champions.

The biggest indicator of their anonymity was the most common question from others of “So, did you guys drive here?”…. to which they would respond, “ummmmm, yeah from the hotel, after flying across the country!”

It didn’t take long for them to turn heads, winning game one 14-5, then throwing a no hitter in the second game for a 4-2 win, and finally wrapping up round robin play with a come from behind 3-2 victory. Going down 6-0 to the eventual tournament winners brought the tournament and their season to an end.

But, the boys didn’t just leave an impression for their relentless pursuit of the the win (they came from behind in each of their three wins) they also were the talk of the tournament for their respect, honour, and courtesy. These young men were great ambassadors of the product turned out by their coaches, parents, associations, and BC Baseball.

In Flemington NJ and in the 2018 season, they leave behind a legacy that will be very tough to follow. Congratulations on an amazing season, to Head Coach Luke Yam and his support system of talented and hard working assistant coaches. Congratulations to the players and parents of the 2018 BC Baseball Team BC 15U AAA!
